Saturday by The Sea

Oh my god, is that the Oz Lotto truck? Vay cries out, all excited. We were driving down the road when he spots this truck that looked remarkably like the Oz Lotto truck. He was getting ready to speed down the road followng after the imaginary loose bills fluttering off the top. But sadly, it wasn't even filled with cash. Vay was disappointed, as anyone would be. There's no such thing as the Oz Lotto truck hun. There there.

That was the start of our Saturday morning. For once I'd decided to shirk my duties on Saturday, and we'd ended up renting the Korean movie "il Mare". Apparently this was the original movie that inspired The Lake House, and Vay was forcing me to watch it. Apparently the korean version was much better than the english version, but isn't that always the case? It was a little confusing, but sweet, Jeon Ji-Hyun always makes me cry, damn it.

We stopped by the local supermarket and picked up chips, dips, some antipasti and even a cheap bottle of rose wine, and had ourselves a picnic in his bedroom. A romantic movie, food and wine, hot weather and a private room? You do the math. See hun, and you didn't want to have a picnic in the first place. "A picnic? But I don't wanna have a picnic", he whines. Geez hun, use your imagination. Anyway, thank god I convinced him. That's how it's done, people.

Even walking around the block to pick up Vay's dry cleaning, whilst eating ice cream was a treat. Yeah, seriously. I actually enjoyed it.

All in all, it was a Saturday well spent, I think. Still had to do the ironing the next day though. Ugh.
